This project is a collective work that aims at reapraising Claude Bernard's neglected legacy. It gathers scholars from France and Québec that are involved in a research network with regular meetings since late 2019, including a research stay at the "Fondation des Treilles" during summer 2021:

The project will be completed in late 2022/early 2023. In May 2022, a conference will be hosted in Montréal (CIRST). The 14 talks that will be delivered will be the basis of a collective volume published in French (Vrin). Other colleagues also participated in a special issue (in English) that will be published in History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences. Depending on the sanitary conditions, a final conference might be held in Paris in late 2022.
The project is funded by: Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, La Fondation des Treilles, CIRST, UQAM, Université de Montréal, Université Laval, IHPST
